Tell me your name and a little bit about yourself.

My name’s Doug Hibbing. I’m from Crestview, Florida.

I’m CCNP and CCDP and I got my training and

experience here with LANWAN Professional.

I’ve been in computer and networking technologies

for 25 years. When I came to LANWAN Professional,

I was looking to expand into the Cisco area and

over the past 4 years I’ve had several certifications

and lots of good, hands on training.

When did your relationship with LANWAN

Professional actually start and what has

brought you back to LANWAN Professional?

I actually started my relationship with LANWAN Professional in 2009 and got my CCNA and CCNP back then.   LANWAN Professional is now starting a CCIE program and I feel like I’m at that point in my career where that’s a task I’d embrace pursuing.

What has been your experience been like with LANWAN Professional both in the past and now?

In the past, LANWAN Professional had very focused, very effective hands on training to get you from wherever you might have been pre-Cisco, up to the standards that you needed to be to get your certifications and become hired or achieve advanced placement in the field.  LANWAN Professional also had a lot of good resources to get your resume in order and preparation to help improve interviewing skills. It was kind of a big package of training to get you to a professional level.

I’m still in a relationship with LANWAN Professional 3 years later because now that I’ve seen the benefits of completing my training through the programs at LANWAN Professional and having the certifications that I have; having the grandfather of all the certifications, the CCIE, is now something that’s now appropriate in my professional career to pursue. I believe that the techniques at LANWAN Professional have been so successful in getting me my other certifications, that their techniques should be coming into play for the CCIE program and helping me again.

You’ve had first hand experience working with both Ray and Eric Choi.  What are your impressions of Ray and Eric?

Well, my impression of Eric and Ray is that they both take a personal interest in all students that come through LANWAN Professional. They both make an effort to get to know the students and they make sure to make an assessment of what the students’ needs are. They’re very good at making a specific plan of action for each individual student.

What do you think the value of the LANWAN Professional program is?

Well, the value is that LANWAN Professional takes on part of the responsibility of your training. They also don’t get paid till after they train you and you’re out there in the field and getting paid. So they trust that their training is good enough to get you these jobs that they ultimately need you to have in order to make their business model work.

What would you say to somebody who is skeptical about joining LANWAN Professional’s program?

Well, for somebody who’s wondering if this is a real opportunity or not, my personal opinion is that they were here 3 years ago and they’re still here. I’m looking forward another long term relationship. Rest assured that these guys are who they are and what they say they are.

I’d like to tell you my story about how I got to where I am. Although I had been in IT for several years, I had spent several years out of IT and eventually had found myself unemployed.  So I was coming back into the IT field when I first ran into LANWAN Professional in March of 2009. My initial contact with LANWAN Professional was by going through their online hands-on training to get my CCNA and in about 3-4 weeks, I managed to go through all the materials they had given me and I had successfully passed my CCNA just via their online facilities.

After that, I came out to camp here in California and was very pleased with the initial hands on.  LANWAN Professional basically showed me the protocols I would need and what the course would look like if I were to choose to continue going forward to earn my CCNP.  The staff at LANWAN Professional recognized my strong technical background so it seemed like a reasonable course for me to take, so I pursued my CCNP. So I attended a five-day camp and got well on my way to the CCNP. I went back home and did some more online study through LANWAN Professional’s remote training and then came back the following August to finish up the CCNP.  I also did the CCIE written test while I was at camp.

LANWAN Professional provided me with the study materials to pursue the DA and DP track. The experience, the hands on training, and the credentials they gave me revived my old IT experience. The programs at LANWAN Professional let me get back into the IT workforce.

Fast forward to my current relationship with LANWAN Professional.  I wanted to pursue my CCIE and they’ve kept in contact with me over the last 2 ½ years. Now it’s time to move forward and attack the CCIE. I’m pretty much looking forward to using the same LANWAN Professional methods I used to get the CCNA and CCNP in order to get my CCIE.

Since I first began my relationship with LANWAN Professional, something has come to my attention that I’d really like to speak on.  It has come to my attention is that there’s some blogs from some other student that came in after I did.  That this student put up some blogs that said that LANWAN Professional is a scam. This just makes me mad. I’m thinking to myself, well, no, it’s about personal responsibility.  I took the same courses that they did. I did the work; I got the certifications and I got the job. So it’s more about you than it is about LANWAN Professional. LANWAN Professional is here to do what they said they’d do. I encourage anyone looking at the programs at LANWAN Professional to take them at their word and do what’s best for you.

My relationship with LANWAN Professional is over 3 years long at this point.  They’re always there working with me. Part of the reason I came back to LANWAN Professional is because they’re the only company that gives you the hands on along with all the concepts and lab guides that you need to actually understand and implement what you’re learning.

I also want to address the things this blog said about Eric Choi.  Eric Choi, to me, has been a mentor and is a fellow entrepreneur. I know that not everything has gone according to his plans. Like always, with any business, there will be ups and downs; but for any start up business, he is doing as good a job as one can do. I see him as a very honest and forthright man.  There’s a difference between having circumstances being out of your control and being outright sharked. In my opinion, Mr. Choi is an honest, upright businessman. I’m looking forward to a long and profitable relationship with him and LANWAN Professional.

To people who are looking into these blogs that are claiming that LANWAN Professional is a scam, I would say, don’t let them steal your dream. The training at LANWAN Professional is real, but the question is, can you get over your own skepticism? If you want to go to a Cisco class or other training, do that. However, I’m telling you that there’s nothing to worry about here. Your success is more about you than it is about LANWAN Professional.

Wow, thanks for sharing your story Doug and your thoughts about the blogs.  I know it’s a shame how one person can potentially keep another person from achieving their dream.  Is there anything else that you would like to say?

I would just thank you, Eric and LANWAN Professional, for being there at time when I was stuck in my career and helping me move forward. I’m very grateful for that. Again, I’m looking forward to completing my CCIE. I’m looking forward to a bright and profitable future with LANWAN Professional.

With over 27 years in the IT Industry and a relationship with LANWAN Professional for over 3 years, Doug shares about his training, his anticipation for the newly launched CCIE program, as well as sounds off a bit about the “scam” blogs.
